About me

For my first post I thought I would tell you a bit about me and my experiences in the trades.

Growing up in a close family full of tradesmen it was inevitable that I too would end up in the trades. I grew up primarily watching and learning from my grandad, I would spend hours with him in his workshop when I was just 3 or 4 years old, banging in the odd nail and trying to help in any way I could.

Fast forward to when I was 15 years old and I got my first job working with a local landscaper helping to build fences, patios, groundworks and a whole host of different things. I loved every minute of it, learning and taking everything in.

I did that for a few years but then I decided to move over to site work and began working with a small development company. Starting off as a Labourer and working my way up to being a General builder, specialising in Bricklaying and Landscaping, But as we were a small company I would assist most trades.

Jump forward to now, nearly 10 years later, I'm still working away doing a job that I love and one thing I enjoy is that theres always something new to learn whether it's a new skill or just a different way of doing things and of course, like all tradies, I love the tools and my hope with this blog is to help some of you learn something new and hopefully provide useful information for someone out there.
